Olympian Ballroom
Just beyond the marble foyer is the Olympian Ballroom. The central open floor is bound by 15 Corinthian columns reaching 25-feet to the hand-painted ceiling. The 20-foot balcony wraps the room’s perimeter. The Olympian Ballroom can comfortably accommodate all event types. Adjacent to the Ballroom are the Main Lobby and Oak Room, each or both of which are available to compliment larger events.
Small Theatre
The original 1889 theater of the Scottish Rite features balcony seating, rich carpeting and a 25-foot stage. Four unique chandeliers complement the natural lighting from two tiers of south windows. Grand turn-of-the-century style balcony theater seating creates a unique balcony.
Oak Room
The Oak Room, an original part of the historical building, is ideal for events for 100 to 230 guests. This handsome oak-paneled room has four large southern windows trimmed with green drapes. There are three interior fluted columns, which rise 14 feet to the ornately painted ceiling. The Oak Room is adjacent to the Olympian Ballroom and the Lobby, serving well as a compliment to each.
Atheniam Room
The Athenian room has light khaki colored walls, with multi-color-coffered ceiling and unique pendant chandeliers. There are seven large windows with full 16′ draperies. The carpet is patterned with deep navy tones. This room is adjacent to the Macedonian Room and it also coordinates well with any room on the second floor south wing. There is also a small stage that is perfect for corporate meetings and presentations, and in a bridal function, for DJ or wedding cake.
Hellenic Room
The Hellenic Room is located on the second floor at the northwest corner of the Athenaeum. Large windows fully comprise the two exterior walls making this one of the brighter rooms in the building and especially suited for daytime meetings and luncheons.
Spartan Room
The Spartan room is one of four rooms on the second floor of the south wing. This room is adjacent to the Corinthian room and it also coordinates well with the Macedonian and Athenian rooms. The walls of the Spartan Room are painted a warm peach, and the coffered ceiling is cream with gold accents. The multi-colored carpet compliments the Greek Key border. A 9′ stage is found at the head of the room, which is ideal for small events.
Corinthian Room
The Corinthian room has light coffee colored walls, with a warm cream and gold colored ceiling and eight stained-glass chandeliers. There are four large windows draped in blue velvet and a 9-foot stage. This room is adjacent to the Spartan and is ideal for intimate events.
Macedonian Room
The Macedonian room is painted in a lavish Egyptain motif with 3 large art deco chandeliers and a 10′ stage. The interior room, without windows, offers a private ambiance. A shared central foyer allows this room to coordinate well with the Athenian, Corinthian and Spartan rooms.
Priory
One of the jewels of the Athenaeum, the Priory is a 12th century room, perfect for wedding ceremonies. The Priory’s interior buttresses, vaulted ceiling, faux-marble walls, and mosaic depictions of scenes from the Crusades give a medieval feel to this former sanctum of the Knights Templar.
